SnapLinePi
GoCV 🤝 Line-bot-sdk-go
SnapLinePi is a Raspberry Pi camera module integration with a Line Bot, allowing users to capture snapshots remotely via Line messenger.
slack-spotify-integration
Slack 🤝 Spotify
A working Slack bot made with Gin-Gonic framework that integrates a Slack DM channel with a Spotify Account. Developed to play some music at the office and democratize what everyone is listening to.
Timeline
Here is a simple timeline of my life events and professional experience:
April 1995 — Birth
I was born in April 1995 in Bogotá, Colombia.
June 2000 — My sisters were born
My twin sisters were born in June 2000 in Bogotá, Colombia.
September 2005 — Got my first PS1
I got my first PS1 in September 2005, and spent countless hours playing games like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Final Fantasy VII.
December 2011 — Graduated from high school
Graduated at 17 years old from high school. At that time, I was obsessed with anime and video games.
February 2012 — Moved to London, UK
I moved to London, UK in February 2012 for a year of exchange. In there I met my wife.
January 2013 — Started university
I started university in January 2013, studying Industrial Engineering at Universidad Nueva Granada in Bogotá, Colombia.
November 2013 — My first trip to Japan
I went to Japan for the first time in November 2013, and it was love at first sight.
August 2016 — Got my first job
I got my first job in August 2016, working as a bilingual customer service representative in an outsourcing company called Sitel in Bogotá, Colombia. Just a fancy name to say that I was answering phone calls from angry customers who had problems with their internet connection.
July 2017 — Got a job as an HR intern in Schlumberger
I got a job as an HR intern in Schlumberger, one of the biggest oilfield services companies in the world, in July 2017, and it was a great experience. I learned a lot about the oil and gas industry, and I also got to work with some amazing people.
January 2018 — Got married
I got married to my wife in January 2018 after 6 years of a long distance relationship.
November 2018 — Moved to Japan
I moved to Japan in November 2018, and it was a dream come true. I had always wanted to live in Japan, and I finally got the chance to do it and live with my wife.
January 2019 — Started Japanese school
Started Japanese school in January 2019 at Akamonkai Nihongo Gakko, a Japanese language school in Nippori, Tokyo.
April 2020 — Graduated from Akamonkai Nihongo Gakko.
Spent a year and three months studying Japanese while working part-time doing deliveries for Uber Eats and working in a restaurant bar.
December 2020 — Passed the JLPT N2
I passed the JLPT N2 in December 2020, which was a great achievement for me, it oppened a lot of doors for me in terms of job opportunities in Japan, and it also gave me a lot of confidence in my Japanese language.
May 2021 — Started working as a software engineer at Xenon Partners
I started working as a software engineer in May 2021 at Xenon Partners. I had been learning to code for a while, and I finally got the chance to work in the field. My job was to develop and maintain a Rails monolith application called Packagecloud. With packagecloud teams can manage, distribute and monitor their software packages and repositories in the cloud and on-premises in a simple, secure and scalable way.
September 2022 — Started working at GMO Internet Group
I started working at GMO Internet Group in September 2022, I am currently working as a software engineer in the GMO Trust team, developing and maintaining Rails applications and other microservices for the financial and blockchain services industry.
October 2022 — Got my japanese drivers license
Might not be the most exciting thing for everyone, but getting my Japanese drivers license was a huge milestone for me, it was a long and difficult process with a lot of paperwork and tests.
January 2025 — My first child was born
My first child was born in January 2025. His name is Sora, and he is the most beautiful thing in the world. I am so proud to be his father.
